At the Carson Animal Shelter, four-year-old Lily has been described as having the sweetest demeanor. She’s gentle, beautiful and playful. Lilly needs a home.
Lily had hoped to participate in the Fourth of July celebrations with a family who loved her, but instead, the day at the shelter was as sad as the day before; no one came, and no one wanted to adopt her.
A few months ago, Lily arrived as a stray. She couldn’t tell her story in words, but she was extremely underweight and dirty. She had most likely been living on the streets for an extended period of time. She has been at the shelter for more than 30 days, and it doesn’t matter how pretty, how kind or how well bred, dogs have to exit the shelter or given the 72-hour notice before they are euthanized.
