A California bill to increase incarcerated firefighters’ pay is one step closer to becoming law

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A bill to increase pay for incarcerated firefighters in California is one step closer to landing on Gov. Gavin Newsom’s desk.

Assembly bill 247 by Assembly member Isaac Bryan, D-Los Angeles, unanimously passed the Senate Public Safety Committee this week.
