Gov. Gavin Newsom took the opportunity to debunk a common California myth on a recent podcast appearance.
Newsom appeared on the “Shawn Ryan Show,” a conservative-leaning podcast that’s particularly popular among the military and veteran community. Ryan is a former U.S. Navy SEAL and CIA contractor who interviews prominent figures on his show, with Newsom as the guest on Monday.
The conversation lasted over four hours and ranged from gun control, transgender rights and climate policy to reflections on the governor’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
