DC drug trafficker distributed fentanyl from California across DMV, arrested in large-scale operation

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — An operation into a fentanyl trafficking conspiracy across the U.S., including D.C., Virginia and Maryland, led to 24 arrests. The sentencing of one of the individuals involved was announced on Friday.

29-year-old Ronte Green, from D.C., was sentenced to nine years in prison for his role in the distribution of hundreds or thousands of lethal fentanyl-laced pills. The pills originated in California before they were distributed throughout the country. In 2023, 24 conspirators were arrested.

According to court documents cited in the release, Greene, aka “Cardiddy,” entered into the conspiracy in 2022 after being introduced to a drug trafficker based in Los Angeles.

The dealer was a wholesale distributor of the counterfeit pills. Greene would travel to California to buy the pills and then sell them around the DMV…
