A new study found that Los Altos is the fourth wealthiest suburb in the United States, leading in a ranking where more than a dozen places in California proved to be home to some very high earners.
GOBankingRates found and ranked the 50 wealthiest suburbs in the nation for 2025 based on the highest average household income by using U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey data and a Bureau of Labor Statistics resource.
To qualify for the study, cities had to at least have 5,000 households and be part of a metropolitan statistical area but not be a principal city.
