California Governor Gavin Newsom has declared an emergency proclamation for several counties in response to severe storms that caused landslides and flooding, posing significant safety risks. The proclamation affects Humboldt, Mendocino, Modoc, Napa, Shasta, Sonoma, and Trinity counties, enabling the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services to provide assistance under the California Disaster Assistance Act.
