Grass fire erupts in Sunol, multiple agencies respond

(KRON) — A vegetation fire broke out in Sunol Tuesday afternoon and has grown to around 10-15 acres, according to the Alameda County Firefighters’ union. The fire is growing at a moderate rate of spread and is now two alarms.

As of 5:30 p.m., Cal Fire said the fire is listed at 15 acres and is 50% contained. Forward progress on the fire has stopped, Cal Fire said.

The fire is located near Calaveras Road and Welch Creek Road.
