“Expect Major Delays” CHP Warns as i680 To Close For Entire Weekend

Drivers in Alameda County should prepare for major traffic disruptions this weekend as northbound Interstate 680 will be fully closed at North Mission Boulevard for bridge repair work.

The closure begins Friday, August 8 at 9 p.m. and continues through Monday, August 11 at 5 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol’s Dublin Area office.

Caltrans crews will be conducting critical bridge repairs during this time. Significant traffic delays are expected, and drivers are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes.

Motorists traveling north from the South Bay are advised to use Interstate 880 north to Highway 238, then connect to Interstate 580 east to bypass the closure…
