Altera Corporation, the programmable chipmaker recently spun off from Intel, will permanently lay off dozens of jobs at its San Jose headquarters, the company told state officials this week.
According to a WARN notice filed with the state of California, 82 employees are slated to be permanently laid off starting in the fall.
