BayPass program goes live, providing students with free public transportation

The BayPass program, which students voted in favor of last spring, is now providing UC Berkeley students with unlimited free access to BART, Caltrain, Muni and other transit services. Some students already have access, and the program will be fully operational by Aug. 20.

The pass adds on to the existing AC Transit pass already provided to students, expanding transportation opportunities beyond Alameda County.
