Body found in RV during Bay Area homeless encampment sweep

San Jose police found a body inside an RV on Monday morning during the first day of a major homeless encampment clearing at a city park, according to authorities.

Officers were preparing to tow the RV at 9:23 a.m. at Columbus Park when they located “an obviously deceased adult male inside,” according to a spokesperson for the San Jose Police Department.

Police found no signs of foul play. The Santa Clara County medical examiner was responding to the scene to determine a cause and manner of death, police said…
