Macaulay Culkin hosting ‘Home Alone’ screenings in the Bay Area

Macaulay Culkin is coming to town this holiday season to bring his classic back to the big screen for Bay Area fans.

The actor, best known for his role as Kevin McCallister in “Home Alone,” plans to host a pair of special 35th anniversary screenings of the 1990 comedy directed by San Francisco filmmaker Chris Columbus (“Mrs. Doubtfire,” “The Thursday Murder Club”). The events are set for Nov. 23 at the San Jose Civic and Nov. 24 at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, with both featuring a live interview and audience Q&A with the film’s star.
