Shooting at Elk Grove Chevron Station Leads to Hospitalization as Suspect Joshua Cash Turns Himself In to Bay Area Authorities

The aftermath of a heated altercation that spiraled into a shooting at an Elk Grove Chevron station led to a 21-year-old man being hospitalized and the suspect subsequently turning himself in. The incident occurred on Kammerer Road and Promenade Parkway, where an argument reportedly escalated to an exchange of gunfire on Wednesday evening, as stated by Hoodline. The victim, while injured, is expected to make a recovery.

The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Joshua Cash, had initially fled the scene but chose to swiftly surrender to Bay Area law enforcement the following morning. ABC10 reported that Cash is now facing charges that include attempted murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm after being taken into custody and booked at the Sacramento County Main Jail.

Details of the shooting indicate that both men involved had discharged their weapons during the incident.
