Stabbing leads to fatal police shooting in Santa Clara

(KRON) — A stabbing at a home Wednesday morning soon led to a deadly police shooting, according to the Santa Clara Police Department.

‘Oakland John Doe’ identified after 22 years

SCPD said officers responded at 6:18 a.m. to the 1800 block of Eisenhower Drive to investigate the report of a stabbing in a residence.

“SCPD officers arrived, encountered the suspect, and were involved in an Officer Involved Shooting,” said police in a social media post.

The suspect was taken to a nearby hospital where they were later pronounced dead. They have not yet been identified. The stabbing victim is being treated at a local hospital, said Santa Clara police.
