The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, under DA Ursula Jones Dickson, has formally charged Hakeem Jones, aged 36, with multiple felony offenses in connection with a car-to-car freeway shooting incident along I-880 in Oakland. As detailed in the charges, Jones is accused of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, shooting at an occupied motor vehicle, and discharging a gun at a vehicle. The origins of this case trace back to an August 15 encounter on northbound I-880, where the victim was ostensibly driving his vehicle solo.
