Former men’s bathhouse property in San Jose lands new owner from Arizona

SAN JOSE — A one-time San Jose bathhouse that claimed it was forced out of business due to pandemic-linked restrictions has been bought by an Arizona investor after attempts to revamp it as an office hub failed to entice tenants.

The Watergarden, now reimagined as a creative office center at 1010 The Alameda, was bought for about $2.5 million, according to documents filed on Sept. 9 with the Santa Clara County Recorder’s Office.
