Bay Area man arrested on suspicion of stalking, throwing gasoline on victim

A Bay Area man suspected of stalking a woman  and throwing gasoline on her legs  was arrested by San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office officials on Wednesday, officials said.

The Millbrae man, 59-year-old Dereck Estores, was arrested a day after a woman in Kings Mountain reported that “a known suspect” had visited her house unannounced at least 41 times over the last two years.

The 63-year-old woman told law enforcement officials the suspect left more than 20 notes at her home over a two year period. On one occasion in July, the suspect threw gasoline at her legs, she said.
