In a reveal that underscores the persistence of retail theft rings exploiting online marketplaces, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office has detailed the arrest of a suspect involved in selling nearly $39,000 worth of stolen goods via the internet. The investigation, which a detective led from the office, tracked down a sizable cache of items ranging from high-end home appliances to common hardware store merchandise recently pilfered from several stores and private residences.
