Antioch police said they shut down a large sideshow Friday night, seizing more than 20 vehicles and making several arrests in what officials described as one of the city’s most significant enforcement operations against the illegal street gatherings.
Working with the California Highway Patrol’s Golden Gate Division and funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety, officers identified two intersections where more than 200 cars and roughly 300 spectators had converged.
