A man lying in a driveway and covered in blankets was fatally struck by a garbage truck in San Jose Thursday morning, police officials said.
The truck driver was turning into the rear alley of a strip mall in the 2800 block of Bascom Avenue around 4 a.m. Thursday when he struck a pedestrian who was lying in the driveway, police said.
The adult male victim, was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the truck remained on scene and was cooperating with the investigation, police said…
