(KRON) — The largest Cantonese restaurant in the United States is right here in the Bay Area.
At least that’s what HL Peninsula claims to be for its newly opened Castro Valley location. The restaurant, located at 3868 Castro Valley Blvd., debuted on Thursday, Oct. 16, HL Peninsula announced.
The Castro Valley establishment spans more than 28,000 square feet with a capacity of nearly 900 guests. There are nine private VIP rooms, and the restaurant serves “handmade dim sum crafted fresh daily.” Parking is free in front of the eatery’s entrance.

Hours for HL Peninsula in Castro Valley:
- Weekday Lunch: 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Weekend Lunch: 10 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
- Daily Dinner: 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
