Matthew Raifman and his family went looking for tarantulas in an East Bay park last week.
They found no tarantulas, but they did see something far more extraordinary: a snow-white fawn.
The fawn was grazing with three brown deer that Raifman assumed to be its mother and siblings. Raifman, a semi-professional wildlife photographer, parked the car and got out with his long-lens camera.
