The incident, which involved an exchange of gunfire between two vehicles in Berkeley, led to a multi-agency investigation.

Details from the Berkeley Police Department’s social media post recount a confrontation that began near Ashby Avenue and 7th Street around 5:29 PM. Suspect Ramon Lupian, reportedly armed and at the wheel of a red Chevrolet Tahoe, fired upon a black Nissan Altima. Both vehicles were verified as being at the scene via Automated License Plate Reader cameras, and the Altima was ultimately discovered involved in a crash in Emeryville, with its occupants fleeing the scene.
