In an unexpected turn of events, Fruitdale Avenue was closed between Richmond Avenue and Leigh due to an overwhelming presence of law enforcement vehicles. The incident, which occurred at approximately 7:50 pm, saw at least 15 police cars from San José Police and Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department blocking the area, their lights ablaze. The cars were reportedly empty as officers were engaged in an operation. A helicopter was also seen circling the Richmond area before leaving.
