FoodMaxx celebrated the grand opening of two new stores Nov. 5 – at 844 Blossom Hill Road in San Jose and 3705 El Camino Real in Santa Clara – with a community “Bag Your Savings” competition that raised more than $8,500 for local nonprofits.
The new stores, operated by The Save Mart Companies and formerly Lucky locations, bring warehouse-style savings to California shoppers.
“Silicon Valley families told us they need relief from high grocery costs, and FoodMaxx delivers,” said Jim Perkins, president of The Save Mart Companies.
“We’re talking chicken breast at $1.49 a pound, avocados 10 for $5 – warehouse prices without a membership fee. These stores help every dollar go further while supporting the local organizations that strengthen our communities.”…
