Early Saturday morning, a 14-year-old juvenile from Santa Clara County led Antioch Police on a wild high sped stolen car chase through the streets of the City of Antioch.
According to preliminary information, shortly after 2:30 am an Antioch Police Department officers patrolling the area of Hillcrest and Via Dora observed a white Honda sedan driving with its lights off. This prompted Antioch officer to attempt to pull the vehicle over only to have the vehicle take off at a high rate of speed driving around the neighborhood bordering Hillcrest Ave. At one point the juvenile banged into a pursuing police vehicle. The high speed chase continued up Hillcrest to the intersection of Sand Creek Road near the border of the City of Brentwood.
At the Sand Creek Road, the 14 year old lost control of the stolen Honda, hitting the curb, knocking off the front right wheel while trying to turn eastbound from Hillcrest onto Sand Creek road. During the pursuit of the stolen car there was no early morning traffic or threat to the public…
