A 45-year-old Dublin man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly burglarizing a sorority house near the UC Berkeley campus, officials said.
The burglary happened on Nov. 1 at a house on the 2300 block of Warring Street, the city of Berkeley said in a news release. According to the Berkeley Scanner, a woman called 911 after she allegedly found a stranger in her bedroom while her roommates were asleep.
Police believe that the man, identified as Courtney Alford, could’ve been there for hours, as early as 3 a.m., before a resident reported seeing him leave through a back door at 6 a.m. Security footage showed that Alford allegedly went in and out of the house multiple times, at one point coming back in different clothes and a ski mask, Berkeley officials said.
