(KRON) — A woman is in critical condition after she was hit by a Valley Transportation Authority light-rail train in San Jose Friday.
The woman was hit at the Fruitdale Station around about 8:30 p.m., the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office said.
“According to early reports, the woman was trying to cross the tracks with a bicycle to reach the platform when she was hit by an eastbound train traveling along Southwest Expressway,” the sheriff’s office said. “The train operator was unable to stop in time.”…
