The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, has expanded free child care services at two courthouse locations: the Family Justice Center Courthouse in San José and the South County Courthouse in Morgan Hill. The program, in partnership with Catalyst Community, provides Children’s Waiting Rooms for children ages 2 to 12 while parents or guardians attend court.
Each waiting room is staffed by trained childcare professionals and offers age-appropriate toys, games, and art activities. The service is free, operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and uses safety protocols such as matching wristbands for children and guardians.
