San José Residents Arrested in Connection with Recent Gang-Related Assaults in Local Neighborhoods

On November 20, 2025, the San José Police Department (SJPD) arrested four people in connection with two gang-related violent crimes from earlier this year. The suspects are Michael Reyes, 19, and three juveniles aged 14, 16, and 18. All are residents of San José or Santa Cruz. The arrests followed an investigation by the SJPD Gang Investigations Unit.

The first incident occurred on August 24, 2025, at about 4:40 PM in the 1500 block of Bahama Way, San José. Four suspects approached an adult male, allegedly believing he was a rival gang member. One suspect tried to stab the victim in the neck with a knife, but the victim escaped and hid. The suspects left before police arrived.

The second incident happened on August 30, 2025, near Clarice Drive and Huran Drive. Two male suspects confronted a juvenile male, made gang-related statements, assaulted him, and took several items. The suspects left the scene before officers arrived…
