CHP Ramping Up Thanksgiving Enforcement

The California Highway Patrol says they’re ramping up enforcement during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Officers are looking to catch drunk and drug-impaired drivers. The maximum enforcement period will start at 6 p.m. tonight and will last through Sunday night. During that time, all available officers will also be looking to cite speeders and other people breaking the law. Last year, the CHP arrested just over 11-hundred people during the Thanksgiving period. 36 people died during that weekend – and 14 of them were not wearing seat belts…
