‘We are all heartbroken’: San Jose non-profit kitten rescue burglarized

(KRON) — The San Jose Police Department is investigating a burglary at Itty Bitty Orphan Kitty (IBOK) Rescue over the post-Thanksgiving weekend.

The non-profit organization told SJPD that the incident happened sometime between Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 at the business located on the 14000 block of Union Avenue.

A suspect broke into the kitten cafe and playroom when it was closed and “stole miscellaneous property,” according to IBOK Rescue and San Jose police.

A photo of the break-in provided by IBOK Rescue shows a shattered front door window, scattered debris and a rock possibly used in the smash-in on the floor nearby.

There were no animals there at the time of the incident due to the kittens living with foster families, Connie Young of IBOK Rescue said in a statement to KRON4 News…
