64-year-old Bay Area dive bar damaged by car crash may finally reopen soon

In May, a car rammed into a building in the Marin County town of Larkspur, damaging a historic bar and forcing its closure. Now, that bar may finally be coming back to life.

The Silver Peso, at 450 Magnolia Ave., has anchored the rich Marin city’s downtown for the past 64 years. Nestled among newer businesses such as Boichik Bagels and Equator Coffees, it is known for serving Pabst Blue Ribbon on draft and welcoming people from every walk of life.
