Red-light cameras are now installed at four intersections in San José. These sites were selected using data from 2019 to 2023, focusing on locations with frequent red-light violations and serious crashes. The cameras use sensors to detect vehicles entering intersections after the light turns red. They record video and still images, capturing the vehicle’s license plate and the driver’s face.
