San Francisco, Calif. (KRON) – Supporters of a Bay Area animal rights activist marched through San Francisco’s Mission District Saturday to demand her release from jail.
Zoe Rosenberg started her 90-day sentence at the Sonoma County Jail on Wednesday. The 23-year-old was convicted for stealing four chickens from a Perdue Farms-owned Petaluma Poultry slaughterhouse in 2023.

Rosenberg was found guilty of felony conspiracy and three misdemeanors in connection to what the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office called a “coordinated effort” at the poultry plant.
Fellow animal activist Cassie King with the Berkeley-based group Direct Action Everywhere said Rosenberg has a history of standing up for animals, and she does not regret her actions…
