(KRON) — One person was hit and killed by a car in Fremont Thursday.
The victim was walking or riding a bike near the intersection of Fremont Boulevard and Delaware Drive at 4:31 a.m. when they were hit by a car, according to the Fremont Police Department.

“Officers, Fremont Firefighters, and paramedics attempted life-saving measures before the pedestrian was transported to an area hospital for further medical treatment,” Fremont PD said. “Unfortunately, the pedestrian later succumbed to their injuries.”
The driver was heading south on Fremont Boulevard toward Delaware Drive when they hit the pedestrian, police determined. It’s unclear if the victim was using the marked crosswalk at the time of the crash.
