Police chase stolen Charger from Morgan Hill to San Jose, 2 arrests made

(KRON) — A police pursuit that started in Morgan Hill later ended in San Jose early Monday morning after authorities disabled the suspects’ stolen vehicle, according to the Morgan Hill Police Department.

Around 3 a.m., Morgan Hill police officers were patrolling East Dunne Avenue, looking to intercept vehicle theft and burglary crews entering the city, when they spotted a blue Dodge Charger “Hellcat” being driven without a license plate, MHPD said.

The Charger fled as police attempted a traffic stop, and officers successfully deployed stop sticks as the vehicle entered northbound Highway 101. The pursuit continued, despite the Charger’s heavily damaged rims, onto westbound Highway 85 before exiting at Santa Teresa Boulevard in San Jose.
