(KRON) — Officials in Alameda County have identified the man who was killed Friday while riding his bicycle in Fremont. Danny Chiu, 69, was fatally struck by a big rig just after noon on the 44000 block of Osgood Road.
A preliminary investigation into the crash by the Fremont Police Department indicated that the big rig was being driven northbound on Osgood as it pulled into the left turn lane and began to turn left into a business parking lot. Chiu was riding his bicycle southbound on Osgood when the two collided.
