North San Jose E‑Bike Rider Killed In Brokaw Road Lexus Crash

A man struck by a car at the intersection of North First Street and East Brokaw Road in North San Jose on Dec. 16, 2025, has died, authorities said. He was taken to a hospital with life‑threatening injuries, briefly stabilized, and then succumbed to his wounds last Friday. Police say the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

According to the San José Police Department, the crash happened around 11:01 AM when a 2024 Lexus sedan heading westbound on East Brokaw Road went through the intersection on a green light and hit a southbound rider on an electric bicycle. Traffic Investigations Unit detectives were later notified by the Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner that the bicyclist had died last Friday, and the medical examiner will release the man’s identity.
