A 69-year-old bicyclist died after being hit by a vehicle on North Abel Street in Milpitas yesterday, according to the Milpitas Police Department. The collision was reported at about 6:23 AM, and the rider was taken to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Police said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officers as the department’s Traffic Safety Unit opened an investigation into the fatal crash.
