‘ICE out’: Protesters outside Super Bowl say federal agents are not welcome

Sunday, while Super Bowl LX was played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, around a thousand people marched nearby, calling for federal immigration agents out of the Bay Area and out of communities nationwide.

Several groups participating said this effort was organized, in part, because last year the Department of Homeland Security indicated that ICE agents would be sent to the Super Bowl. While federal and local leaders have since indicated that this would not be happening, concerns about potential immigration action still loom. People at this rally said they still wanted to send the message that ICE was not welcome here.
