Alameda County deputies shot and killed person, AG Bonta says

Alameda County sheriff’s deputies shot and killed a person in San Leandro on Monday, according to a statement from California Attorney General Rob Bonta.

The California Department of Justice is investigating the shooting, which occurred around 3:19 a.m. in San Leandro, Bonta announced in a news release.

Deputies responded to a home on the 16000 block of Selborne Drive after receiving a call from a person who said he had a firearm, wanted to harm others and requested to speak with law enforcement, according to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office…
