20 Saratoga students win 53 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

In the regional level of the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, seven students received awards in art and 13 received awards in writing.

Participants submitted their pieces in early December and results were announced on Jan. 30. Students can earn Gold Keys, Silver Keys or Honorable Mention awards for their work.

The 2026 winners of Scholastic Art Awards are:

  • Sophomore Kevyn Fritz’s “The Unconquered Glow,” Gold Key
  • Junior Claire Kwon’s “Lost But Found,” Gold Key
  • Junior Chloe Tang’s “Bleeding into Me,” Gold Key
  • Senior Celina Ren’s “Now Showing” and “Jar of Afternoon Sun,” Gold Keys.
  • Junior Claire Jung’s “Amalgamation” “Chicken State” and “Broken,” Silver Keys
  • Senior Amy Miao’s “A Body of Many” and “I Am the Subject,” Silver Keys
  • Ren’s “Thought Train for One,” Silver Key
  • Nicole Hao’s “Rememories: Animation of Beloved by Toni Morrison” Silver Keys
  • Ren’s “Caldera-Heated Hoodie,” Honorable Mention
