VTA light rail crossing upgrades in San Jose
The Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will add swing gates, pedestrian gates, and handrails at several light rail crossings in San Jose. The work will also include signal upgrades and improvements to sidewalks and curb ramps at Campbell Ave & Railway Ave.
Construction is scheduled from February 13, 2026, to February 17, 2026, between 7 PM and 5 AM. Work will take place at Bascom Ave & Borello Dr, Leigh Ave & Southwest Expwy, Fruitdale Ave & Southwest Expwy, Parkmoor Ave & Race St, Lincoln Ave, Auzerais Ave, Sunol St, and Dupont St. Drivers and pedestrians should expect nighttime activity and possible lane closures during these hours…
