(KRON) — An argument over laundry led to a victim being stabbed with a large kitchen knife, according to the Fremont Police Department.

FPD said officers responded on Feb. 4 to a Birchwood Terrace apartment building to investigate a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. The victim received medical aid from officers while the suspect, who police said showed signs of intoxication, was arrested.
Two days later, FPD said the victim and suspect showed up together at the police department lobby and spoke with an officer.
“The subject had taken the victim’s passport and other property, offering to return the items and pay the victim’s medical bills if the victim dropped the charges,” FPD added in a police log of the incident…
