(KRON) — One person was shot by police in Fremont at about 10:45 p.m. Saturday, according to the Fremont Police Department.
The shooting happened near the intersection of Alta Drive and Racine Avenue, near John G. Mattos Elementary School.
“At this time, we can confirm that there was an officer-involved shooting,” the Fremont Police Department said. “One suspect is injured and has been taken to an area hospital.”
