Sunnyvale SWAT and K9 Units make arrest in Sunnyslope Village

Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety K9 and SWAT units along with Hollister police cordoned off Hemlock Court in Sunnyslope Village shortly after Marguerite Maze School was shut down out of “an abundance of caution,” according to a Hollister Police Department (HPD) advisory issued at 10:44 a.m. on March 5. The lockdown was lifted at about 9:30 a.m.

The Sunnyvale SWAT and K-9 units were spotted at the intersection of Hemlock Court and Spruce Drive by this reporter. A short time later, a drone was seen hovering overhead and what sounded like three gunshots were heard. Later, a Sunnyvale police officer told BenitoLink that they were flash-bangs (a grenade type device producing a blinding flash of light and a loud bang)…
