The Santa Clara County Library District (SCCLD) will reopen the fully remodeled 24,000 square foot Campbell Library in a grand opening celebration set for Saturday, May 9. Construction of the building and landscape is complete. and library staff are starting to move in brand new furniture, equipment, and thousands of books.
The City of Campbell and SCCLD have worked in partnership with Measure O, a $50 million bond measure passed by Campbell voters in 2018. The original Measure O funds allocated $20.5 million to the library project, alongside a $4.7 million infrastructure California State Library grant, and an additional Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) $500,000 electrification demonstration grant to build a fully electric facility and a $4.7 million.
