San Jose police announce ‘major narcotics arrest’

(KRON) — The San Jose Police Department said a routine traffic stop Friday morning quickly turned into a “major narcotics arrest” after the vehicle’s passenger was allegedly found to have methamphetamine, cocaine and Xanax packaged for potential sales.

SJPD said officers later obtained a search warrant to canvas the suspect’s residence in Milpitas and “uncovered more methamphetamine and numerous firearm components, including high-capacity magazines, assault rifle components and multiple rounds of ammunition.”

The suspect has not yet been identified by police, and authorities did not disclose a list of charges the suspect faces.
