Authorities on Monday recovered the body of a Central Valley man who did not return home after going fishing near the eastern edge of Alameda County.
Sheriff’s officials found Shahanur Alam, 46, floating near an underwater gate in a canal 4 miles away from where he disappeared while fishing near Mountain House. Alam was first reported missing on March 10., the day he set off for a solo fishing session.
